Elementary Christmas Store

Macklin School’s “Christmas Store”

WHO: Students from Pre-K to Grade 6

WHAT: A Christmas Store of donated items, allowing students to purchase gifts for family/friends for only $1 per item.

WHERE: Macklin School library

WHEN: Friday, December 16 (each class will have a designated shopping time)

WHY: To help others by raising money for Telemiracle and the West Central Crisis Centre! This store also provides a great opportunity for young shoppers to find the “perfect” gift for their loved ones.

HOW: Here are some important things to remember…

1. Each PreK-Gr. 6 student is asked to bring 5 new or clean, gently used items from home. Suggested items may include ornaments, toys, books, jewelry, purses, mugs, candles, tools, etc. Please deliver these items to your child’s classroom between December 12- 15 (by noon). (We ALWAYS run short of “gifts for HIM”, so we would gratefully accept items that would make good “guy gifts”.)

2. On December 16, please send:
✓ $5 (to allow your child to buy a maximum of 5 items… or less money if you want your child to buy fewer items)
✓ a large bag (in which your child can carry his/her purchases).
✓ Please remind your child to buy gifts for others, NOT themselves.
